School Spirit is Alive and Well

Its been a tremendous start to the new school year and Im so proud to see our students engaged, excited and full of school spirit.  At this week's volleyball game the students had a safari themed night as they supported the girls volleyball team Monday night.  Thank you students and community for making this a great place to lead!

Raptor System-  Our new Raptor system is up and running and making a difference in attendance and tardies in our building.  Students are being mindful of the expectations and the one minute warning bell has really helped students be more accountable for tardies.  Our staff has seen a significant improvement already in the amount of tardies per class thus improving the learning atmosphere as class can begin on time without disruptions.

Congratulations to Language Arts/Drama teacher Elizabeth Reed for being named as outstanding teacher of the month from Think 360 Arts for the month of June for the summer drama class she taught at Jefferson High School in conjunction with one of the Think 360 Arts teaching artists, Mr. Jesse Wilson.

Thank you Elizabeth for your dedication and hard work to the arts in education!

Her recognition will be posted on their website under the Awards/Recognitions tab-
