Oral History Day- Priceless Event!

A HUGE thank you to members of our Social Studies department for their work in setting up a very unique event at Standley Lake this past week.  Sophomores had an opportunity on Thursday to hear from a variety of veterans from the Iraqi and Afghanistan War, WWII, and a Holocaust survivor.  The opportunity provided students a glimpse of American History not from a book or movie, but directly from heroes that lived it.  This facet of American Heritage will soon not be afforded to future generations therefore this rare glimpse into history was priceless.
